I was born in Canakkale, Turkey, and I now live in New Jersey. I go to Costco twice a week, I stopped counting Amazon boxes a long time ago, and every guide on this site comes from personal experience — things I actually bought, returned, or wish I had never ordered.

This site exists because moving to America comes with a hundred small shopping questions nobody answers in Turkish: which robot vacuum is worth it, what you can bring through customs, whether Costco membership pays for itself, how credit scores work. I write the guides I wish someone had handed me in my first year.
